Jsou kluci jinoši a holky kurvy?
Náš pohled na jednotlivé gendery (či pohlaví, chcete-li), je dán do značné míry jazykem, který používáme. Řekneme-li muž nebo kluk, napadají nás jiná slova, než když řekneme žena či holka. Racionalita či statečnost na jedné straně, mateřství a domácí práce nebo krása a sex na druhé. Není tomu tak vždy (zvlášť v případě té racionality u mužů), ale je tomu tak často - a třeba statečnost, řekne-li se žena, či domácí práce, řekne-li se muž, nenaskočí asi nikomu. Ilustrativní jsou v tomto případě jazykové slovníky.
Podívejme se třeba do nejrozsáhlejší českého slovníku, osmidílného Slovníku spisovného jazyka českého, který poprvé vyšel v roce 1960 (mé vydání je z roku 1989). Ten uvádí heslo "muž" přídomky "silný, statečný, energický, rozvážný, moudrý, muž činu". Heslo "žena" je spojeno se slovy jako "drobná, korpulentní, mladá, vdaná, povídavá, jsem jen slabá žena, povětrná žena". To je už hezký soubor předsudků spojených s jednotlivými gendery. Přitom vznikl naprosto neuvědoměle, autoři slovníku chtěli čtenáři přiblížit význam slovníkových hesel "muž" a "žena".
To ovšem nejlépe provedeme, spojíme-li si tato slova s konstrukty a stereotypy, které se k nim váží. A tak nám slovník spisovné češtiny říká, jak sociálně chápeme muže a jak ženu. Muž je silný, žena slabá (a ví to o sobě: "jsem jen slabá žena"), muž je rozvážný, žena povídavá. Všimněte si též, že žena je ve slovníku na rozdíl od muže charakterizována ve vztahu k druhému pohlaví - vdaná či povětrná. Tedy muž je samostatný, žena se vztahuje k druhému pohlaví, a proto je i důležité, jak vypadá (drobná nebo korpulentní, jakou si muži vyberou?).
A to je jen slabý odvar proti českému internetovému vyhledávači
Morfeo. Když jsem jej asi před dvěma lety objevil, zjistil jsem, že nabízí i vyhledávání podle synonym, která vám sám nabídne. Ihned jsem této možnosti využil a mimo jiné jsem zadal slova muž a žena. Jaká synonyma mi byla navržena? Vskutku zábavná! Nebo pobuřující?
Muž byl tehdy „chlap, mužský, syn, kolega, manžel, chlapec, kamarád, vrstevník, choť, druh, hoch, táta, pán, seňor". Na první pohled vidíme posun, muž už je charakterizován i ve vztahu k ženě či dětem. A ten seňor, to zní tak romanticky! Ovšem synonyma ke slovu žena mi tehdy vyrazila dech. „Baba, dáma, kost, paní, kočka, ženská, bohyně, kus, děvče, dívka, buchta, holka, choť, stará, manželka, herka, máma." Tý vago, bohyně, herka, kus, to je mi teda vkus!
Bohužel něco se u Morfeů změnilo a synonyma na tato slova již zde nenajdete (ještě, že jsem si to tehdy zkopíroval). Ale nezoufejme, přesto se něco najít dá a jestli lze mluvit o posunu, tak k těm horším stereotypům.
Nejdříve jsem si zadal termín kluk a vylezlo mi neutrální „hoch, jinoch, mladík, chlapec, mládenec". Tedy vše v pořádku, i když trochu nuda. Chlapec už byl pestřejší, ale pro hledače stereotypů pořád nuda: „hoch, kluk, jinoch, mladík, mládenec, výrostek, muž, syn, kolega, manžel, kamarád, vrstevník, milenec, nápadník". Takže nápadník jo a borec ne? No, co se dá dělat... A pak to přišlo!
Na děvče a dívku Morfeo nic nenachází, a tak na řadu přichází holka. A je to mazec! Holka je totiž co? No přece „žena a děvče a kočka a buchta a běhna a kurva a štětka"! A taky „nevěstka, prostitutka, dívka, drahá, miláček, milenka, frajerka, drahoušek, partnerka, děva, slečna, holčina, nevěsta, služka, služebná, pomocnice". Tak co, holčiny? Je lepší bejt štětka nebo služka? Nebo obojí? Volba je jen na vás, drahé běhny, drahé slečny! Nebo ne?
